To all parents and carers

To all parents and carers, please remember that Thursday 9th July is parents open day.

Please bring your son/daughter in on the time that was agreed with the form tutor.

Staff have been allocated to pick up and drop off before and after meetings as arranged.

The day is to celebrate a successful year.

Thank you

Welcome

Windlehurst School caters for young people, aged 11 to 16 who have identified Social, Emotional or Behavioural Difficulties.

Many of our young people will have had a long history of failing to reach their potential in mainstream schools. Pupils may have been excluded from school or found the experience stressful. Much of this stress will also have been experienced by families of the young people.

What is on in Windlehurst?

Thursday 9th July Parents open day. “All students to attend their appointment with Parents and Carers.”

Tuesday 14th July Forest Schools. Full activity day off site and celebration of the year. All KS3 students and selected KS4 students off site.

Wednesday 15th July Whole school rewards day off site. Paintballing, Ponderosa Rural Therapeutic Centre, Cinema Trip.

Thursday 16th July Whole school Attendance reward trips, Go-Karting and Pizza Hut.

Windlehurst School News

Please watch this space for news and event information.

The aim of Windlehurst School is to re-engage these young people in their education, through well planned, engaging and appropriately differentiated lessons, designed to meet individual needs. They are taught in small groups with a high ratio of staff to pupils and in a supportive environment.

I hope you enjoy our website and, through it, gain a better understanding of what we do at Windlehurst and what we believe. We are very proud of our school and what our young people achieve. We are delighted to share it with you.
