Windlehurst School currently caters for up to 60, 11 to 16 year olds who have an EHCP for SEMH. We have a vacancy for a general teacher who has the skill set to support our students academically as well as emotionally. If you are an inspirational teacher with the ability to engage and motivate young people we would welcome your application. You should have some experience in working with learners with challenging behaviour and be able to develop successful relationships with learners in order to inspire and motivate. An outstanding practitioner, you may be required to lead a curriculum area as well as teaching additional subjects.
The school is currently based on two sites, one in Hawk Green in Marple and one in Stockport Town Centre. They are at some geographical distance so a car owner is essential and you will be required to transport pupils. You will be deployed at either site according to the needs of the school.
