Windlehurst School supports up to 48 students aged 11 to 16 with EHCPs for SEMH. As we expand our capacity, we are looking for a versatile and dedicated general teacher to provide both academic and emotional support to our students. This role is designed to enhance our specialist teaching allocations across both sites. 

If you are an inspirational teacher capable of engaging and motivating young people, we encourage you to apply.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with learners who exhibit challenging behaviour.
  • Ability to develop successful relationships to inspire and motivate students.
  • Outstanding teaching practice, with potential responsibilities including leading a curriculum area and teaching additional subjects.

Additional Information:

  • Our school operates on two sites: Hawk Green in Marple and Stockport Town Centre. Due to the geographical distance, a car is essential, and you may be required to transport pupils. Deployment will be based on the school's needs.

The Governors of Windlehurst School are looking to appoint a dedicated School Administrator to join our successful and hardworking team.

 

About the Role:

As a key member of our office staff, you will work closely with the School Business Manager, Head Teacher, and other stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will include providing a wide range of administrative support and being the initial point of contact for families and visitors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, demonstrating friendliness, approachability, and professionalism.

- Provide excellent telephone and communication skills to handle inquiries from staff, parents, visitors, and pupils.

- Manage a busy office environment with a flexible, efficient, and independent approach.

- Maintain high levels of tact, confidentiality, and discretion in all tasks.

 

Personal Attributes:

- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to multitask.

Windlehurst school is a unique and diverse place to work. Our pupils are great fun to work with and no day is ever the same. We are based on two sites, Hawk Green in Marple and Stockport Town Centre. All our pupils have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health and have a range of individual needs which can display in challenging behaviour at times. However, there are many rewarding aspects of the job that come from building and maintaining positive relationships with pupils and making a real difference to their lives.
